Served as a volunteer firefighter on the St. Joseph Township Fire Department
As an Emergency Medical Technician, Steve made the City of Fort Wayne Emergency Medical Services first ambulance run in 1973.
Sixteen years as a sworn law enforcement officer.
As a Staff Sergeant in the United State Air Force, Steve served in a highly technical and classified position at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Colorado.
Was injured while overseas on a classified mission during the Vietnam War.
Steve was valedictorian of his high school class and is a life member of Mensa
While a law enforcement officer, Steve saved the life of KISS musician Gene Simmons
